Morning run before work!

With a busy day, committee work tomorrow and Wed taking me away from NRL and temps supposed to shoot into the 90s today, I figured I better get out first thing this morning if I was going to get out at all. So I got up at 6am, got dressed, stretched and headed out for a 5 mile run. However, I felt really tight and off all morning, so I decided to cut it short to 4 miles. However, I did finish the miles in good time, with miles in 8:13, 7:51, 7:43 and 7:27 min/mile. Still trying to figure out my tough time with workouts recently, perhaps I returned to full speed to quickly after the marathon? Anyway, it seems prudent to dial it back a bit, so that is exactly what I will be doing....

2010 Efforts!

This year, like last year, I will be riding for Mary Payton's Miracle - My friend Steve Kogos from Trigators informed me that his friend Joe's daughter, Mary Payton, was diagnosed a number of years back with Late Infantile Batten Disease. This is a disease with no cure, however, there are special experimental (and extremely expensive) treatments which have shown some significant signs of success! In order to assist with the costly treatments and research, Mary Payton's Miracle was created to raise money to find a cure, hopefully in time to save little Mary Payton as well as the many others affected by this terrible disease!
