Lunchtime run with Mike P.

Headed out for my first run since last Thursday. Colvin had his baptism this weekend, and with everyone in town, I just didn't get any opportunity to get out for a run. Anyway, had a good run, got to vent about a bunch of crap with Mike and put in a good effort, missing my PR on the course by 7 seconds. It was good to get out again and got alot of stress released. We ran out toward the gate initially before I realized that i had forgotten my ID badge, so I had to turn around and grab it out of my bag, effectively putting in 0.21 miles as a warmup. I then finished miles in 8:23, 8:04, 8:51, 8:07, 7:57, 8:22 and the finished the final 0.13 in 1:04...

2010 Efforts!

This year, like last year, I will be riding for Mary Payton's Miracle - My friend Steve Kogos from Trigators informed me that his friend Joe's daughter, Mary Payton, was diagnosed a number of years back with Late Infantile Batten Disease. This is a disease with no cure, however, there are special experimental (and extremely expensive) treatments which have shown some significant signs of success! In order to assist with the costly treatments and research, Mary Payton's Miracle was created to raise money to find a cure, hopefully in time to save little Mary Payton as well as the many others affected by this terrible disease!
