Easy morning run in the bitter cold.

OUCH, 25 degrees is NOT running weather. It isn't walking weather... hell it isn't even step outside weather. But after much cajoling (read: embarrassing emasculating comments) by Betsy, I got my quadruple layers on and hit the road. Got out for a 4 mile run, keeping a nice steady 8 min pace or so. Didn't want to push too hard with the weather and especially recovering from that random back issue Monday, definitely didn't want to overdo it. Either way, this was my easy week, so nothing too tough was in order. Tomorrow, have a nice easy 10 miler and it should be in the mid 50's... NOW THAT IS RUNNING WEATHER. Got my miles in 8:09, 8:09, 8:05, 8:01 and finished the last 0.1 at a 7:43 pace.

2010 Efforts!

This year, like last year, I will be riding for Mary Payton's Miracle - My friend Steve Kogos from Trigators informed me that his friend Joe's daughter, Mary Payton, was diagnosed a number of years back with Late Infantile Batten Disease. This is a disease with no cure, however, there are special experimental (and extremely expensive) treatments which have shown some significant signs of success! In order to assist with the costly treatments and research, Mary Payton's Miracle was created to raise money to find a cure, hopefully in time to save little Mary Payton as well as the many others affected by this terrible disease!
