One of the participants from our race last weekend, Dexter, lives in Indian Head and works next to NRL, so through email we made plans for a run this morning out on the Indian Head Rail Trail. Got going early, around 7AM, but there was a bit of a mixup between us so we didn't meet up until around 7:15 or so. Anyway, got going pretty early, starting off at a pretty reasonable pace. However, neither of us felt too hot, so we slowed up pretty heavily, dropping the pace into the 9 min to 10 min range. No worries though, it was a bit rough going, but still got out with a new running partner... Well afterwards I got home and Betsy was still out for her run with Coley, so I ran out a bit over a mile to meet up with them, putting in another 2.3 miles at an 8:37 pace.
