Finally, Mountain Biking!

Alright! The weather was gorgeous, had a stretch of several dry days in a row, how could I resist? I couldn't! So I packed up the mtn bike last night and after work took off for Rosaryville and knocked out a solid loop without any stops setting a new PR for the course! Overall I averaged 10.7 mph, a new record by far! Does appear that I need to get the bike in for a tuneup though! It really is amazing what a stress relief it is to get out on the trails, just takes your mind off everything else and you just focus on taking the turns, hoppin' the logs and making the climbs. Need to get back in the habit! Anyway, got home and played with the Cole-man and taught him to hit a baseball! Have I mentioned how much I love being a daddy?

2010 Efforts!

This year, like last year, I will be riding for Mary Payton's Miracle - My friend Steve Kogos from Trigators informed me that his friend Joe's daughter, Mary Payton, was diagnosed a number of years back with Late Infantile Batten Disease. This is a disease with no cure, however, there are special experimental (and extremely expensive) treatments which have shown some significant signs of success! In order to assist with the costly treatments and research, Mary Payton's Miracle was created to raise money to find a cure, hopefully in time to save little Mary Payton as well as the many others affected by this terrible disease!
