Finally got on the bike for the first time this month! Been so caught up with work, being a dad and preparing for the marathon that Biking has taken a back seat. Doing really well on my running mileage though! Anyway, as it has been so long since I was last on the bike and the fact that I did a 16 mile run yesterday and I have a few new blisters to add to the mix, I decided to do the recovery and technique workout. This is the one that does alot of high cadence spinning (hit an alltime high of 171 RPM toward the end of the workout during the spin ups) and one-leg drills (for the first time I felt strong through the whole exercise). Overall, it went really well and felt pretty good. Looking to go for a 6 mile run tomorrow morning before church, but seeing that I can't sleep and it is 1:30 AM and I am still awake, we will see if that actually happens. Anywhoo, good day...

2010 Efforts!
This year, like last year, I will be riding for Mary Payton's Miracle - My friend Steve Kogos from Trigators informed me that his friend Joe's daughter, Mary Payton, was diagnosed a number of years back with Late Infantile Batten Disease. This is a disease with no cure, however, there are special experimental (and extremely expensive) treatments which have shown some significant signs of success! In order to assist with the costly treatments and research, Mary Payton's Miracle was created to raise money to find a cure, hopefully in time to save little Mary Payton as well as the many others affected by this terrible disease!
